On behalf of the Barking & Dagenham Local Implementation Team (LIT), Tulip, in partnership with Barking, Havering & Brentwood Mental Health User Group (HUBB), chairs and convenes CHAT, a service user forum that provides a safe and welcoming environment in which people can share their experiences of using local mental health services. Two service users from CHAT attend the LIT on a rotational basis. CHAT is used by the LIT to consult on local strategies and developments and CHAT, via its LIT representatives, can feed experiences of using local mental health services directly into the service monitoring, planning and development process.

The genuine commitment from everyone to work openly and honestly together in partnership, is the cornerstone to improving services for those who use them as well as those who provide them.
